Welcome to the Guardian school! Before you do anything else, if you are interested in becoming a Guardian, please look over the following general rules and walkthrough for Guardians.
A guardian has to follow a trainer that they would find in the guardian search thread, and determine their battles. Anything random is determined by this online spinner. www.unpracticalmath.com/applets/virtual_spinner.html
You start off by finding the trainer in their current city,(should be on their application in the search thread.) and should record any transactions made, or battles that they may have started. Make sure to inform the player that you are their Guardian for this section, and you may then take them through any battles. Then when they state that they are ready to leave, you post in reply that you are ready as well. Then go to that thread where that route is. If they search for a Pokemon, you would use the spinner to determine which one. Click on the menu button at the top, and type 3 into the sections box, then click finish at the bottom. Spin the spinner, and then go back to the introduction to the route's thread. It should tell what pokemon the trainer encounters corresponding to what number the spinner lands on. You would then post on that thread what pokemon the trainer has encountered. Then a battle takes place against that pokemon. What attack the pokemon uses is also determined via spinner. The intro to that route's thread should also include what attack each wild pokemon can use, according to spinner numbers. So make four sections of the spinner when doing this. Using the normal battle rules, you should be able to determine what the trainer's new stats are, and what the wild pokemon's stats are. So, you'll need to display to the trainer what their pokemon's stats are, (health, energy and the current status change) and what the wild pokemon's stats are. (same) If the trainer attempts to capture the pokemon, it must be within 1/4 of the entire health. If it isn't, they automatically fail, and the pokemon will still attack. If it is within those limits, spin the spinner with three sections. If they get the first section, it is captured and the battle ends. If not, it continues. Legendary pokemon are different, and they should have 16 sections in their spinner. The only exception is a master ball, which will always capture.
The only difference between this and a trainer battle is that, no matter what Pokeball it is, captures always fail if they attempt to capture an opponent's pokemon. If they do, it will also count as their turn. When you are finished on a route, you may decide to stay with a trainer for another day, (If they want.) Or quit that job. That's all there is to being a guardian!
Guardian rewards: There is a simple guardian reward system. For every in-game day you help out a trainer, you are awarded one GP, or guardian point. These can be exchanged for rare items in shops, direct cash, or extra experience for your team. The following are what you can get with them:
1 GP=1000 P$
1 GP= 150 exp.
1 GP= 1 rare item.
These are always exchanged at shops, so if you want to get a rare item, 150 experience points, or 1000 pokedollars, just exchange them at shops in a local city. There is a list of the rare items at every shop as well.
Becoming a Guardian: If you wish to become a guardian, you must apply at the Guardian sign-ups thread. You will be quizzed on the rules, so be sure to know them thoroughly.
Guardian questions: If you have any questions about guardian work, please ask them below on this thread.
